My Danes Today

While I enjoy showing my dogs, they are companions first and live in the house with their families.

Ch Affaire's Taken By Storm v Blanton, AKA "Jessie".

Jessie is seen here taking her finishing major at the Del Monte Kc Show in July 2009.

This is a pic of her first major.

Ch Affaire's Sweet Basil Rain, aka "Basil".

BISS AKC/Intl/UKC Ch Lagarada's Aspen Gold x Affaire's For Your Eyes Only

Basil is 15 months old in this photo. I had just started showing him in the BBE class and we took our first point on our second time in the ring together, a about an hour before this photo was taken.

This is Basil winning his first point under Judge Judith Goodin. The very first time I ever showed a dog, I won under this judge. I told her that story when this picture was taken. I don't know whether she's to credit or blame, but here I am, still showing dogs!

This is Basil winning WD/Best BBE under Judge Sophia Kaluzniaki. Later that day, Basil won the BBE Working Group and went on to Best BBE in Show. He was most definitely in contention for that honor, but the Whippet went best that day.

Basil returning to the judge on the down and back....

And here is the Big B winning in Sacramento.

Basil's first major under breeder judge Christine Salyers Anderson.

Basil's finishing major.
Basil finished his AKC Championship on August 2, 2008 under breeder judge Cathy De La Garza.
He was Breeder/Owner handled to all his single points.
Thanks to Diane Collings, who handled him to both majors.

Affaire's Dancing In The Rain, aka "Ginger".

BISS AKC/Intl/UKC Ch Lagarada's Aspen Gold x Affaire's For Your Eyes Only

Ginger is one fun dog! She's 19 months old in this picture.

This is a look at Ginger's head. Again, taken at 19 months old.

Affaire's Storm Chaser, aka "Chase".

BISS AKC/Intl/UKC Ch Lagarada's Aspen Gold x Affaire's For Your Eyes Only

Chase is just getting his first taste of the show ring here. At 5 months and 1 week of age he placed 3rd in the GDCA Futurity 5-7 month puppy dog class with an entry of over 20 puppies. He was the youngest puppy entered in that age group and the only uncropped puppy to take a placement in this futurity class.

Chase takes his first point in his 3rd AKC show a week after he turns 9 mo's old.

Chase at 16 months.

Affaire's Rain of Fire, aka "Phoenix".

Phoenix is 8 months in this photo.

Affaire's Formula One, aka "Indy"!

Indy is shown here taking a reserve win. He got his first point from the 6-9 puppy class, but decided he didn't like shows very much. He's happy to stay home and be a house dog.

This is Indy at 2.

BISS Ch Equus Diamonds Are Forever CGC, AKA "Conner"

Ch Danemark's Trace of Tiger, CD, TT, CGC x Can Ch Equus Midsummers Titania, TT

Conner went to the bridge on October 9, 2006, just 5 days before his 12th birthday. He was still in good spirits and there was nothing acutely wrong with him, but the ravages of age had taken their toll on his well-being. The decision was made to let him leave this life with dignity and peace.
Conner is at stud to select bitches. Frozen semen is available.
